Two bloody road accidents that claimed three lives occurred on Saturday in Akoko area of Ondo state. The first carnage was witnessed along Ugbe-Iboropa road in Akoko Northeast local government when a Mazda car had a head on collision with another vehicle. An unidentified middle aged lady died on the spot. The second road mishap occurred when a car with two young men inside it, rammed into a stationery trailer along Victory College road, Ikare. Eyewitness said the two occupants of the vehicle also died.
Confirming the incidents, the Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Ikare-Akoko, Yinka Akande, said his men went to the two scenes for rescue operations. The Divisional Police Officer for Ikare, Olu Agboola, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), also confirmed the two road mishaps. He described the incidents as most regrettable, saying the Police were carrying out investigation to unravel the cause of the auto crashes.
